Playa Hats n Glasses started in 2008 by happenstance; funds for the upcoming Burning Man Festival were lean to say the least as the nation-wide recession took hold.  Impending financial doom of ScottoBobScotto, founder, left him and his Theme Camp in a world of hurt.  "I was always loosing my sunglasses on the Playa and of course never had enough hats; but money was the real problem, I knew we were not the only one in this predicament", says Scotto. 

That's when the light bulb went on, there was a way to get the funds needed. All Theme Camps want to attract more people to their events, relying on the Who What Where When does not guarantee a crowd. Selling the finest in headwear & eyewear, pens, pencils mugs, cups, bottle openers, etc. while advertising those events just seemed logical.

Over the past 23 months Playa Hats n Glasses has helped many Theme Camps to create unique Playa Gifts that are not only functional but get the word out. In conjunction with our Playa Kiosks, we offer many services that you just cannot do without while within the gates of Black Rock City.
